Unusually We are Guests at Rockbeare Manor Wedding Venue

As professional wedding photographers I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to be a guest at a wedding.

Trumpet call indeed - us guests at a wedding!

Not your job

When we arrived at the venue, the beautiful Rockbeare Manor, it took us both a little time to realise we didn't have to look for the details, the moments, the kisses, the confetti!  At this wedding it wasn't our job.

Not here to work

Knowing how difficult it is for professionals on a wedding day, Malcolm left his camera at home.

Sadly, I just couldn't bring myself to do that .... but I made a pact with myself to keep out of the way!

Consequently, I didn't take many photos at all :(

Did you get that?

It was a while, though, before we stopped digging each other in the ribs to ensure one of us didn't miss a moment.

Stop!  No, we didn't get it and many others .... but I'm sure the photographers of the day did!

There were two photographers and two videographers so come on ...... relax ..... chill .....leave them to it.

The upside of being a guest

This was my nephew's wedding.  I wouldn't have missed it for the world and yes, once we got used to being a guest, we really enjoyed it, relaxing with a drink, good food and family.

I make no apologies, however, for my camera which, on occasion, couldn't control itself! 😉

It did know how to behave though ... inconspicuous, unobtrusive it knew the rules!  My nephew on seeing this photo said  'I didn't even know you took that'
Ha Ha! That's the way to do it!

Happiness is ........ this image .... absolutely no doubt about it.
And me and my camera were too busy throwing confetti to get a shot of the couple .... but I took a huge handful of this beautiful wedding confetti from The Natural Confetti Company and boy did I enjoy throwing it :)

And just look how pretty it looks in the bride's hair.
Oh .... and just a few more ..... not many - but a few special moments worth sharing.

The song written by the Best Man and sung as a duo 'An Ordinary Man'
was absolutely beautiful ... and grand finale indeed.

But this is no ordinary man :)

This lovely wedding day I will remember for a long time and so pleased my camera was a little naughty!
